The Himalayan is a community committed to responsible exploration, environmental awareness, and supporting local communities. Founded by a group of dedicated adventurers and environmentalists, we believe in the power of adventure to transform lives.
We have highly experienced mountaineers in our fold, including Everesters Debraj Dutta and Chetna Sahoo, and veteran mountaineer AVM (Retd) Apurba Kumar Bhattacharyya, ex-Principal of the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi.

Our Story
A thriving collective of mountain enthusiasts.
The Himalayan was founded in 2017 by adventurers and environmentalists who recognized the unique beauty and fragility of the Himalayan region. We believe in preserving the Himalayas for future generations through responsible exploration, environmental stewardship, and cultural exchange.

Conservation Projects
Protecting fragile ecosystems.
The Himalayan is deeply committed to protecting the fragile ecosystems of the Himalayas. Our conservation projects include tree plantation drives — such as those conducted in memory of Meher H. Mehta — as well as regular clean-up campaigns on trekking routes and at base camps.
We collaborate with local communities and organizations to promote sustainable tourism and environmental awareness.

Community & Outreach
Adventure that gives back.
Our outreach extends beyond adventure — from nurturing young explorers to supporting underprivileged communities across the Himalayan region.
Youth Engagement
We nurture the next generation of adventurers through adventure camps, mentorship opportunities, and educational workshops — empowering youth with the skills, confidence, and environmental awareness to become responsible leaders.
